We have today announced the team selections for the Great Britain women’s and men’s squads set to compete at the 2025 FIP Euro Padel Cup.
The FIP Euro Padel Cup is set to take place from 7-13 July - bringing together the top nations across Europe to compete for the title of becoming the European champions.
July’s event will be the second phase of the competition, with both British teams looking to top their respective groups and qualify for the Finals later in the year.
Led by captains Libby Fletcher and Agustin Gomez Silingo, the GB women’s team will feature British No.1 and world No.93 Aimee Gibson, alongside Catherine Rose and Tia Norton in an eight-strong squad.
Five of the GB women’s team are ranked inside the world’s top 200 and have all won FIP Tour level titles in the last year – including Lisa Phillips and Abigail Tordoff.
The GB men’s team – led by captains Sandy Farquharson and John Leach – will be headed up by world No.103 Christian Medina Murphy alongside Sam Jones, Louie Harris and Nikhil Mohindra.
Laura Jackson, Rosie Quirk, Alex Loughlan, Tom Farquharson and Jamie Lobo are all set to make their debuts for Great Britain this summer.
Last year, Great Britain’s women’s team finished in 10th place, while the men’s side clinched 7th.

LTA Performance Pathway Manager and GB Captain Libby Fletcher said: “This year the selection process has been very challenging – Great Britain is in the strongest position we’ve been in from a player perspective. We’ve got more players competing across the board, so selection has been very competitive.
“We have a few players making their debuts this year, which is very exciting for them, and I’m looking forward to seeing how the team compete and the way they approach this year’s competition.”
LTA National Performance Coach and GB Men’s Captain, Sandy Farquharson commented: “I’m very excited to be selecting our GB team for the Euro Padel Cup. The game is developing in professionalism and we are making great strides to compete at the highest level of the game. This will be an opportunity for the players and our team to show the work that has been put in over the last year.
“Competition in Europe is getting stronger and stronger, and we know that playing in Madrid at its altitude, in the summer will be fast, tough conditions. We’re excited to be bringing some familiar and some new players coming through and we feel like we can get the results we’re looking for at the top level.”
