Where to play padel this summer

• 2 minutes read

Finding things to do with the kids that are healthy, wholesome, and wrench them from their screens, but also don't empty your wallet, is a challenge that many parents will recognise over the summer period.

As an easy-to-learn, safe, fitness-boosting and inclusive activity, padel ticks all of the boxes when looking to fill up children's social diaries during the summer break.

Padel is a fantastic sport for families and adult players alike due to its instant accessibility, doubles format and fun, sociable vibe.

Anyone can play padel, regardless of previous sporting experience, fitness levels, age, size or background. Within minutes, you will enjoy rallies that leave you sweaty, smiling and wanting to book another court.

So, if you haven't tried padel before and you want to give it a go over the summer, with the family, friends, or just by yourself, here's a helpful guide on how to get involved.

Find a padel court & start playing

Our court finder tool lets you find your nearest padel venue and click straight through to its website for court-booking details.

With over 550 padel venues spread across Great Britain, you're sure to find some courts near you.

Court availability is usually better (and cheaper) during weekday daytimes — perfect for those long August afternoons!

Play in padel competitions

For kids who want to take their participation in padel to the next level, there are junior padel competitions for players aged 9-18 across Britain throughout the year.

Competitions are open to players of all abilities – and from age 11, children can also enter LTA graded adult competitions.

Padel competitions over the summer are also great for adults as a way to have fun, meet new people and put your padel skills to the test.

Simply go to our competitions page, set your required dates, select 'padel' and the age group you want to search.
