LTA Padel National Championships set to return to Rocket Padel Bristol

The LTA is proud to announce the return of the LTA Padel National Championships, a landmark event that highlights the continued growth and rising popularity of padel in Great Britain.

Taking place at Rocket Padel Bristol, between 1-4 October, the tournament will bring together the country's leading open and senior players as they compete for the coveted title of national champions. 

The event builds on the success of the inaugural championships last year, where Aimee Gibson and Catherine Rose claimed the women's title, and Louie Harris and Alex Loughlan were crowned men's champions.

New for 2026, the LTA Padel Junior National Championships competition will take place at Just Padel Derby, from 29-30 October. Entries for the tournament will open on Wednesday 9 September.

With a total prize fund of £10,400 and LTA ranking points on offer, the tournament is set to attract the very best British padel players, showcasing top-level competition in a variety of categories. The championships further highlights the rapid growth and increasing popularity of padel within Britain’s sporting landscape.

LTA Padel Manager, Steve Yeardley looks ahead to the LTA Padel National Championships saying, “After the success of last year’s inaugural event, we’re delighted to be bringing the LTA Padel National Championships back to Rocket Padel Bristol for a second year.

"The championships will see leading players from across Great Britain compete for national titles, ranking points and prize money across four age categories for men and women. With padel continuing to be one of the fastest-growing sports in the country, events like these play a vital role in highlighting the depth of British talent and driving the sport’s continued growth and visibility nationwide.” 

LTA Tournament Director, Richard Joyner added, “We are very excited to be delivering the second ever LTA Padel National Championships at Rocket Padel Bristol 1-4 October. On the back of the inaugural event in December 2025, the fact that Padel continues to be one of the fastest growing sports in the world, and its growth in Great Britain over the past few years in terms of facilities and competition has reflected this, year 2 promises to be another great event.

"With four different men’s and women’s age groups, including the introduction of an over 40 event for 2026, there will be plenty to play for to become the LTA Padel national champions. The tournament will provide a great platform to showcase Britain’s leading padel players and help further raise the profile of this fantastic sport.”
