Performance
With a goal to have players in the top 100 of the men’s and women’s FIP rankings by the end of 2026, performance is a key aspect of the LTA’s overall strategy to grow padel in Britain.
The LTA Padel Performance Pathway is designed to identify, develop and support the leading padel players in Great Britain with the overall aim of achieving success on the international stage.
We have created and are developing a series of funded initiatives that provide training and support at different stages of player’s development journey, with youth support at 14U and 18U levels, and three tiers of support at the pro level: the National Training Padel Programme (NTPP), Pro Scholarship Programme (PSP) and Elite Programme (EP).
Find out more about our elite pathway and player support on our dedicated performance page.
We’re dedicated to developing and nurturing world class coaches through our Performance Coach Pathway. Our Performance Coach Education and Development team provide education, guidance and support for performance coaches, with the aim of building a continual supply of top coaches at every stage of the performance pathway.
2025 has seen the launch of the first LTA Padel Performance Competitions Calendar. With more top-level domestic competition, we’re giving British players more chances to showcase their skills, and for those looking to pursue careers playing padel, there are now more opportunities to compete against the country's best on home soil. This stronger domestic offering will help to boost not only our current crop of British performance padel players, but with a more developed junior competition structure, the next generation as well.
