Tennis Wales padel strategy
Padel is growing rapidly worldwide and we believe it has the potential to thrive furthermore in Wales.
This fun and social sport is not only easy to learn, but is also creating more playing opportunities for communities throughout the country.
Alongside the LTA, we’re committed to making padel accessible to people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds in Wales - ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to experience and enjoy the sport.
Our 2024-2026 strategy outlines a structured plan on how we will continue to support the ongoing expansion of padel in Wales. This development is made up of six key areas:
- Invest: Develop the right local, regional and national facilities to play padel in Wales
- Grow: Grow the player base by making programmes and the competition landscape more accessible and appealing to Welsh communities
- Engage: Engage and motivate the padel workforce to attract and retain them in the sport
- Diversify: Develop new opportunities to grow the appeal of padel and generate new revenue streams to invest in the sport
- Lead: Lead padel in Wales to the highest standards to ensure its safe, inclusive and sustainable
- Perform: Create a pathway and support framework that identifies, develops and supports padel players at each age and stage of the sport
