British No.2 Catherine Rose secured her first FIP title of 2026, winning the FIP Bronze Singapore alongside her Spanish partner, Lucia Perez Parra.
The third seeds enjoyed a comfortable run to the final, and wrapped up the silverware without dropping a set. In the semi-finals they produced an impressive performance to defeat top seeds Spain's Alba Perez Momha and Novela Putria of Indonesia, 6-3, 6-0.
They then carried that momentum into the final, overcoming the second-seeded Spanish pairing of Carla Fernandez Gonzalez and Nerea Guerra Santana 6-3, 6-4 to secure the title.
Rose, who is currently ranked 117 in the world, but has had a career high ranking of world No.94, reflected on her first title win of the year saying, “I’m super super happy to win the FIP Bronze in Singapore.
“It’s my fourth tournament with my new partner Lucia and every tournament we are improving together. Things really clicked at this one, fell into place and we were a great team. It was a really good final to win, we beat a pair that I’ve lost to the last three times I’ve played against them, so to win this one meant a lot.”
“It was a little hurdle to overcome. I’ve had a tough few months, I’ve had a tough losses, so this was a good win for me in terms of my confidence, and mentally.”
The FIP Tour is a professional-level circuit officially sanctioned by the International Padel Federation (FIP) and is the first stage of the professional padel circuit, featuring four levels of competition, bronze, silver, gold, and platinum.
Rose’s victory in Singapore builds on her 2025 season, in which she broke into the top 100 FIP rankings, won two FIP titles, one bronze and one silver, while also being crowned the inaugural LTA Padel National Champions alongside British No.1 Aimee Gibson.
“It’s my first final for a long time, and my first title for a long time so I’m really happy and proud of myself. This title is a testament to the hard work I’m putting in everyday, on court and off the court.
“A massive thank you to all my sponsors, R3, Light Therapy London, The Padel Hub and the LTA for their continued support, they are what allows me to travel the world, play in these tournaments and give me the opportunity to win titles and keep training hard.”
Rose will now travel to the Philippines to compete in the FIP Silver Manilla later this week, before playing in the FIP Bronze Hong Kong.
