• 2 minutes read

Island Padel will host the third British FIP event of 2026 this week, bringing together top British and international talent to compete for the title. Read our preview.

This is the third of five FIP Tour events in Great Britain this year as part of our LTA Padel Performance Competitions Calendar to offer British players the chance to earn both prize money and valuable ranking points on home soil.

Outside of the London Premier Padel P1, the FIP Silver Rathbones Island Padel is the highest level of professional padel event hosted on British soil, attracting both top national and international players. This landmark event highlights the sport's rapid growth across Britain and its increasing prominence within the wider sporting landscape.

The FIP Silver Rathbones Island Padel will host a women’s draw of 16, as well as a men’s draw of 32. Seven British women are set to compete including British No.5 Abigail Tordoff, recent LTA Grade 1 champions Alice Keddie and Victoria Nicholas as well as Chloe De La Mare and Rosie Quirk. The Argentinian Spanish pairing of Maria Virginia Riera world No.37 and Teresa Navarro Lopez-Barajas world No.55, headline the women’s draw.

Six British men are currently set to compete in the FIP Silver Rathbones Island Padel main draw, with the possibility of further home representation emerging through the qualification rounds.

London Premier Padel P1 qualifying wildcards Jamie Lobo and top British junior Ben Phillips will compete at the FIP Silver Rathbones Island Padel before turning their attention to the P1 in the capital. Fellow Great Britain internationals Sam Jones and Nikhil Mohindra are also set to be in action at the tournament. The men’s main draw is led by Spanish duo Gonzalo Rubio, currently ranked World No.43, and Andrés Fernández Lancha, the 21-year-old world No.62.

The action kicks off with qualifying rounds starting on Wednesday 29 July, with the main draw commencing on Friday 31 July.

Entry to the Island Jersey Padel tournament is free for all spectators.
