Padel Performance Programme

The LTA Padel Performance Programme is designed to identify, develop and support the leading padel players in Great Britain - placing a clear focus on building a structured pathway that supports British players from junior level through to the international stage.
We are committed to providing high-quality support across the pathway, including national training environments, access to world-class coaching, and increased exposure to domestic and international competition.
Our performance programme is led by an experienced leadership team responsible for delivering the national pathway and supporting GB teams:
- Libby Fletcher – LTA Padel Performance Pathway Manager & GB Women’s Captain
- Iciar Montes – LTA Padel International Coach
- John Leach – GB Men’s Captain
- Agustín Silingo – LTA Padel International Coach
- Sandy Farquharson – LTA Padel Performance Coach
Our national coaches play a key role in delivering the programme across national training camps, junior and senior teams, and event activations. As of 2026, our national coaches are:
- Frankie Langan
- Miguel Carvalho
- Lisa Phillips
- Laura Jackson
- Álvaro Fernández
- Amy Cairns
- Belén Castrillo
To be eligible for selection consideration to any of the padel performance initiatives or programmes, players must meet the following minimum eligibility criteria:

Please note that for specific selection processes, such as those for national team representation, there may be additional eligibility criteria that players need to meet. Details of these can be found in each specific policy document.
There are three different funding programmes in place, designed to support the best padel players in Great Britain with the aim of achieving international success now or in the near future.
This support includes training, resources and financial assistance, while each tier offers tailored benefits to meet the specific needs of each player, at different stages of their performance journey.
Here is a brief overview of each funding support tier we offer:
Elite Padel Programme (EPP)
The Elite Padel Programme (EPP) is aimed at the highest performing male and female players with a top 50 world ranking, who are achieving major tournament success or have the potential to be in contention for titles/medals at FIP/Premier Padel events in the next two years.
Pro Padel Scholarship Programme (PPSP)
The Pro Padel Scholarship Programme (PPSP) supports male and female players aged 18 and above* who have the potential to progress into the top 50 world rankings within four years of joining the programme.
National Training Padel Programme (NTPP)
The National Training Padel Programme (NTPP) is designed for the very best 16 to 38 year old players in Great Britain who are not currently on the Pro Scholarship Programme**.
*In exceptional cases, players aged 16 or 17 years old will be considered
**In exceptional cases, the programme is also available to 14-15 year olds
National Age Group Padel Programme Scholarships 16U (NAGP 16U)
The National Age Group Programme 16U (NAGP 16U) provides a range of support to a select group of players that have been identified by a National Coach or through a Performance Training Hub, normally aged between 14-16, who are not yet eligible for the PPSP or NTPP.
The Ranking Bonus scheme is an integral part of our Padel Player Support Programmes in 2026, and rewards British padel players who are excelling and progressing towards the highest levels in padel.
The Bonus Scheme is designed to incentivise and support full-time padel players, with bonuses being offered each time they reach a new milestone in the FIP ranking list. The bonuses can then be used for private coaching, tournament travel and training abroad.
For more information on the scheme or to submit a request, please contact us within two months of achieving the new ranking level.
Each year, the International Padel Federation (FIP) stages major championships at European and World level, in a variety of age group categories (from juniors through to seniors) with one major event taking place each year.
We select players to represent GB in these events through a selection process that sets out the various criteria for eligibility and is reviewed by a selection panel.
